Toagosei’s acrylic products center around acrylic esters, successfully industrialized for the first time in Japan, and are increasingly expanding as the core business of Toagosei. The company built a new plant
in Singapore in 1998 for the manufacture of acrylic acid and acrylic esters, thus further strengthening its competitive power in the world market.
Toagosei’s acrylic products business can be broadly divided into two groups: acrylic monomers and polymers.
Acrylic monomers can be processed into various products, typical among them being acrylic acid used as a raw material for paper diapers, and acrylic esters on which fibers, paints, and pressure sensitive adhesives are based. Polymers include a group of articles close to consumers made from monomers, such as adhesive tape, labels, and paper diapers. ARON FLOC, a polymer flocculant that clarifies water, also belongs to this group.
