 IXE Chart

Conventional organic ion exchange resins have low heat resistance, low solvent resistance and are limited to non-aqueous applications. On the contrary, conventional inorganic ion exchangers such as clay, dolomite, and zeolite have good heat resistance but low water resistance, low ion-exchange properties. These exchangers have not been used practically.

“IXE”, inorganic ion exchanger, has been recently developed and has the same characteristics as conventional inorganic ion exchangers and has also improved the weak points of conventional inorganic ion exchangers.

FEATURES

  1. IXE has good heat resistance and is applied at high temperatures in excess of 1,000oC.
  2. IXE can exchange a certain ion selectively and can separate particular ions in a chemical product coexisting various ions.
  3. IXE gives good ion-exchange properties even if there is almost no water/humidity in a chemical product.
  4. IXE has good radiation resistance and can not be deteriorated even under strong radiation.
  5. IXE has good chemical resistance and good resistance to molten resins at high temperatures.
  6. IXE has good oxidation resistance and can be used under the atmosphere of oxidation.
  7. IXE has the property of gas absorption at high temperatures.
